I lost invitation letter for citizenship test, which was mailed to me. What should I do? Is it mandatory to carry citizenship letter to appear in test or I can just turn up there with my identification documents? Another advise I would need is that do I need to carry any documentation other than identification documents, as I had already submitted response to RQ (lots of documents) to CIC? Would appreciate your kind guidance.

Nothing happens intentionally here. I received at my old residence address and the person misplaced it before it could reach me. In short it was simply bad luck. Well I called CIC, and the agent asked to appear at the test location with two pieces of ID. But I am still very much worried, if they would accept it or not? Or it may begin another nightmare for me. :(

Well do what the agent told you to do, at the same time these agents always informing clients with different answers. I suggest you call again and see if that rep can can e.mail you a copy, in fact upon arriving at the test centre which is your local office they themselves can go on the computer and print off a copy as they are the ones who sent the letter. All you do is to make sure you present yourself for that test. Things do happend.

Moreover that letter should have not reach your old residence as the address change on the CIC website takes effective same time or few days to update unless you didnt change your address.

Another suggestion check your ECAS and see if they update the information informing/notifying you of your test, if its been updated i suggest you print off a copy.

Thanks DAN11 for your suggestions. On ECAS it's just a vague message reference on the letter:

"We sent you a letter on March 26, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

I think someone in this forum had the same issue and printed off the test invite info and took it to the test.
However, call the call centre again to ask if they can provide some copy through email or any other helpful info.

Hey,

Do not worry. Just print out your E-CAS status update, and take an ID with you. Agents will not give you a problem. Just be there ahead of time to explain why you do not have the letter.

I had almost similar problem as you but in my case I just not received the test letter from CIC it was only updated on Ecas and I called the agent said I don't need the letter to write the test he just tells me the Location, Date and Time.
just go there with the original of the support document that you sent with your Application and you will be fine.

usually the letter is to localise your test room easily in some cases like mine I wrote my test on March 27/2015 at Scarborough office which I passed with 20/20 there was two testing room with different colour letter ''Blue and Yellow'' when there, I presented my PR card and they found out that my testing room was with the Yellow Letter Group.
