I got a response from CPP-Ottawa saying that my file has been sent to LA. :(

Question guys: What should i expect from LA? What is the average time to receive PPR from LA after they receive one's file? My file was originally sent to Buffalo then transferred to Ottawa and now LA. A decision has not been made yet, its just been sent to LA for further processing.

My file was transferred to LA on 13 September and PPR was issued on 26 September.

The change to allow CPP-O to directly issue COPRs and counterfoil visas is likely to actually speed things up at LA (since LA won't be asked to do nearly so many applications).

Welcome to the group! Our files go to warm LA and we're (sponsors, and some applicants) are stuck in cold Canada! :P

Anyway, it varies. Mine went from Ottawa to LA and that was back in June. But some got PPR a bit quicker lately. (We got ours about a week ago). Hopefully you hear back soon! :)

Hmm, I guess i just have to wait and wait and wait. Its all good. So it took you like 5months? wow that kinida long tho

If your LA files have been shipped off to CPP-Ottawa, there's now a CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet - the link is in my signature. The spreadsheet is open, so feel free to add your details if you like.

Thereabouts yes. But ours was missing a page that I had to send to LA as well so that might have held it up a few weeks.

Oh i see. Thanks for the information. To show u how the system is. My E-file was sent from Buffalo to CPP-O while the hard copy file (evidence of relationship and all) was sent to LA. Ottawa has held it for 4months and now they are sending to LA. God help us all

Hey Everyone!!

I found this interesting... Seeing that my husband's PPR was a scan and reply to the email from CIC... As of November 27th the process has changed for visa-exempt countries.

Excellent! Good to see the results of their effort to streamline straight forward applications is coming to bear. Kuddos to the Canadian government for seeing the need and making some of those necessary changes. While some of us who applied this year may have gotten caught in kerfuffle of any bureaucratic change (ie., the Buffalo closure), these changes should most definitely benefit others.

Note: this is for all countries, not just visa-exempt countries. Anyone processed by CPP-O may be issued their COPR and counterfoil, if necessary by CPP-O.

This shouldn't affect LA cases, though.

I am on week #6 and still nothing!!! Now I am beginning to worry if they even received my passport??? I wish they would notify us that they at least have received it. The wait continues for me......

Eeeeeeeeeee!

My husband got a request today (Dec. 3rd) for copies of his passport to send to CPP-Ottawa. I have no idea what this really means, but I am extremely, utterly, and wholly, and fantastically excited. Does anyone know what happens after he emails them a scanned copy of his passport? How does he receive a "COPR"?

Eeeee!

My wife received her CoPR today from Ottawa, only 9 days after receiving PPR! Astounding! She'll be landing tomorrow!

This is what happened to us as well! We scanned it and sent it back last Tuesday and yesterday I saw that e-CAS says "decision made" so I'm guessing my husbands COPR is in the mail :D I'm expecting any day now :D :D
