See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-personal.asp

I find it by searching for "privacy" on the CIC website.

Thank you!

And there's no cost inside of Canada right?

They only provide the information to people in Canada anyway.

It's free if you are requesting your own information. Have both you and your spouse sign off, so they don't have to redact the other one's information from the report - otherwise they will, which is a bit crazy, but that's the law.

Will do, trying to figure out how to fill it out, I'm having flashbacks to filling out the application O_O

Maybe I'm just being a negative nellie, but this wave of PPRs from Ottawa makes me nervous and when we're actually going to get COPR. Almost like it's too good to be true. Maybe I have nothing to worry about, and it's business as usual now that Ottawa is up and running. Maybe this process has made me jaded. I'm probably just gonna be anxious until I have COPR in hand.

I was anxious until the damned thing was stapled into my passport. Oddly, I'm not anxious about receiving the PR card (I've already traveled without it, no questions at all.)

If you're a nervous nellie, I am too! I'm anxious as well, so anxious my doctor suggested anxiety medication for me(I said NO). Hopefully it'll start rolling out for the rest of us soon!

I feel the same way, but there are people who have received PPR and an updated email the same day! We both had our requests about 10 days ago now, so I'll wait one more full week before reaching out to them again for an update.

I'm still waiting and my PPR was 10 days before yours... atleast I can see the light so I'm not pushing it's definitely coming.

I believe you sent your physical passport in, right? I would assume that those who send just a scanned copy of their passport would require less time to process, but no one really knows when it comes to CPP-O. I'm just using Computergeek's timeline of 16 days from PPR to COPR before I inquire again. On Day 12 now, so I'll probably email beginning of next week if I've heard nothing still. I'll still be a bit anxious until the wife actually LANDS in Canada.

but you must also take into consideration that CG had his/her (sorry CG I never paid mind to your sex LOL) passport sent back from LA VO to a US address, and s/he picked it up, therefore, cutting out the mailing time back to Canada, or even within Canada mail up here in Canada is alot slower then US plus US delivers on Saturdays, it took us 3 days to get approval letter from CCP-M and we live an hour away... so just another reason I'm not pulling my hair out LOL

Good point. It would just be nice if they could tell us it's all been taken care of and the COPR is on its way. That way I can just let the mail do its thing. It's the not knowing if it's coming in the mail or not that eats at you haha.

CG is a he :P

Anyway, I think if you don't send it return to a US address, it takes a bit longer because they will use USPS and CP to get it to you.

Thank you! again sorry CG :'( Oh, I won't lie I figured it would take 2 weeks, I pray they send it to Buffalo to cross tho if not it might take 3 weeks as I said CP is slowwwwwwwwwwwwww

CP is dreadfully slow. That's why we sent it down to our US address ---- which really is only 2 hours away and we have to go down to land anyway (and move, technically!).

We did USPS Express and I've got the tracking number. I check it multiple times a day. It's twisted. I can't wait for it to say something. I wish I could "email alert me when i've been activated" but they don't have that kind of tech yet.

Le siiggghhh... I know i shouldn't complain. After all, by all tracker accounts, our application was processed 64 days faster than average.

Well if I had a second passport or another way of getting across the border I would have mailed it to my US address... it would have been the smarter way anyways... oh well I don't plan on doing this again anyways LOL
