even my says 'application received' till now
yours give me some hope

Ours did too Simb... They replied to our email last Wed and it now shows we're in process as of Oct 14th...

@ parker24 - thank you for updating the spreadsheet - it's funny how turning blue is a great milestone to reach:)

@ simb - don't lose hope...it's a frustrating process but hang in there - the support here is great...we have a very straight forward case and yet it felt like we've been waiting forever, we just might be the last Feb applicants to get PPR:)...this process has been like a black hole - you send things in and you wait, from time to time you get an email and that's the only way you know someone somewhere has looked at your app...and the suspense is crazy too, you never know when the next email will come and what news it will bear - but try to stay positive and trust that it will all end soon...

@computergeek...my husband is visiting for couple of weeks and he will cut his visit short so that he can drive back tomorrow to send his passport from US and we'll ask to have it returned to his US address... we're hoping to get it back soon...that's when i can finally call this nightmare over :)

Oh, I certainly understand that. I had to send someone ELSE over the border to send it on my behalf because I was on implied status - and that goes away as soon as you leave Canada. Then I had to have the passport shipped back to someone in the US because I wasn't sure where I'd be by the time LA finished it (I've had a trial scheduled in the US for almost a year at which I needed to testify - it's not like they were going to move it on my account). I think my spouse was amused by my insistence to head down to the border as soon as my passport arrived back (via FexEx, from my company's US office) but that's exactly what I did.

I hope you have no problems from here on out!

So did you submit your FBI with your application? You don't need to apply for FBI any more? That's great for you.Congratulations.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.

I submitted an FBI channeler with my app. After we applied, I got nervous about them rejecting the channeler and got one from the FBI and sent that one in. That's the one I referred to when I said that they had "matched my check with my app." I just think it's weird that they requested one from me and then they came back and basically said 'nevermind!'

Hi Everyone :) I GOT MY PPR YESTERDAY!!! I still am pinching myself to see if I am sleeping or dreaming. I am requested to mail in my actual original passport. I am traveling this weekend but luckily its by car and I have my passport card so I will be mailing in my photos and passport to LA TODAY!!

do we know what the average turnaround time is?

THANK YOU to everyone for your help and comments and encouragement!!

Thank you so much!! Congratulations to you too!!! Its such a wonderful feeling to have this "almost" behind us!!! Hopefully its not too much longer :)

Just out of curiosity.....I wonder how many people used lawyers to help them with their applications and it would be interesting to know how that played a factor in speeding up the process. I guess each case is different.

Our e-cas finally shows in process as of Oct 19. Of course right after I decided to stop excessively checking it last week.

What photos are sent to CIC along with the passport? More of those immigration photos that they used for the medical?

We used a lawyer. We did it so our documents would be triple checked and correct. It has not helped us move along any faster. I just know that all documents were received by LA and I have never been asked to resend anything.

After in process since September 6 and paying rprf today it's showing medical received any analysis and it's March application for outland

Two immigration photos (35x45 mm). They go onto each copy of the COPR - one goes to CIC for production of your PR card, the other copy goes into your PR.

Firstly Congrats!! Don't really think there is to much of a timeline yet, CG's took 16 days from his PPR to landing, yes I am obsessed with the days because I got my PPR on October 9th, sent it the 10th, so 16 days would be the 26th as nice as it would be I do expect it to be alittle longer just because I don't wanna get my hopes up! GL! and hope you don't have to much of a wait!

With a sample size of one, it took them 12 days from receipt of my passport to issuance of the COPR.

So the average right now is 12 days. :-)

We should be getting more numbers to add to this soon, though. From other threads about LA it seems 2-3 weeks is typical.
