Hi guys,

Can anyone help me with this. It has been over a month my RPRF bank draft was received at LVO together with my meds (sent separately, but landed the same day). Checked with my bank today and they confirmed it is still outstanding for encashment.

1. Any idea how long did it take for then to encash your RPRF, in case you tracked it?
2. Did you receive your PPR before RPRF was encashed?

Response from those on this group that have received their PPR or have had their RPRF encashed will be appreciated.

Congratulations Midoo ;), 2 years of waiting is little for such Canadian visa, I applied since 3.2009 and completed my Medicals last month with RPRF and updated PCC. can you answer me please: How long lasted your Background check? Did the VO contacted you or asked you to submit or update some documents?, Your country now?
Yours, Osman

I would like to ask....after my husband's "missing" medical results, then he re-take it last May. We, as his dependents, already took our medicals on Feb.

So when would be our visas' expiration, Feb. or May?

We want to know so we could decide when to land to Canada...

Thank you
Hi Sodapop, I'd like to ask Did you receive your visa? as in your profile appears that you didn't, so I think that visa expiration is not related to ME date, it is yr Medical which expires at Feb.2013, i think if yr visa issued at August.2012 so it should be valid for at least Aug.2013, so the only thing will be repeating yr ME if you planned to travel at July2013 for e.g.

The underlinned is not correct. PR visas regardless of when issued have maximum validity of 1 year from the date of completing the medical examination. This will be clearly stated in your PPR. I know of a few people who got their visas a few weeks before they were going to expire because their medicals were furthered/extended by one reason or the other. They had no choice than to make arrangements to land within the validity of the visa. If for whatever reason, the applicants could't land within the validity of the visa, then they will have to re-apply for a new PR process. All of these are explained in the PPR letter.

Hope this clarifies any confusion.

Spot on Louth. I didn't realize sodapop's husband was the principal applicant. In that case, it make logical sense that the effective medical date will be the date he is registered as having completed his own medicals. Of course logic and cic don't often run hand in hand, so I concur about planning with February in mind.

How are you doing Louth. Will holla soon ;)

It means that you have cleared your medicals. There's nothing you need to do now than wait. They will send your PPR once your background/security checks are cleared.
