Imran, When did your status turn into DM.

hi Louth, 9jCanada and any other seniors,

kindly clarify this please, when is the real expiration of visa, a year upon medicals are done?

Im having this confusion because we did our meds on Feb. so our visa will expire on that month, right?
My question are these, do we have to land to Canada before they expire on Feb. or only our visas should be stamped before they expire on Feb. (so we'll be landing later than Feb.)?

As what Ive read from this forum, one should land in Canada before the visa expires...what's the real score?

Thank you......

Hi sodapop, You will need to land in Canada within a year since your Medicals done. So if your medicals
was on the 13th of Feb 2012, your visa expiry date will be the 13th of Feb 2013 and you will need to land
in Canada before the 13th of Feb 2013. This is regardless the date in which your visa was stamped.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sherin,

I asked our consultant about this since we haven't got any PPR yet..and he answered that before the expiration on Feb. 2013, visa should be stamped...

What i learned from this forum is that we have to land to Canada before our visas expire on Feb. 2013...
Information from this forum do help a lot than asking queries to somewhere else...or even someonle else.... ;D

The expiration of your visa is one year after your medical date and you have to land before the expiration of your visa regardless of when they are issued. There are no ifs and buts about it.

Ok. Yes, you are true. Info I got from this forum is really helpful and I am always grateful to ppl
who answered my questions and therefore assisted me during last steps of the immigration.

ls clarify my doubt

• What are the medical test we need to undergone?
• Is there any problem if the dependent is pregnant, we will give any exemption in taking the x ray test? I need to inform the LVO now itself or once they issued the MR ?

Is there any exemption for the babies (2years old ) from medical test

Pls advice

Regards

Unni

Big Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to see your persistence paid off :)

Your PPR should be along in a couple of weeks barring any delay with your security clearance.

All the best
