I am no expert but if you are happy and confident about it why not!

who knows ,the IMO may not ask for evidence of POF.Please note that this is only an assumption and based on my personal experinence.

Ok thanks

In the cover letter that came with our COPR, the letter clearly stated under POF that"...... you should therefore bring supporting DOCUMENTATION with you, current banks statements, updated bank book, securities or negotiable instruments in bearer form, etc". So it is NOT a required right or obligation to bring CASH OR DRAFT with you. Again the IMO guy did not ask for this at all :o

Our address finally reappeared on ecas today. Only this time it's showing Calgary, Alberta, Canada 8)

We already got email confirmation that our PPs were posted yesterday. So it does appear that the appearance of Canada address corresponds with the date of issuance of the visa/COPR.

All the best everyone ;)

Hi !

It is a standard two page letter detailing all you need to know before /while landing and the responsibilities of a new resident.

I bet they were. Thanks for the head-up though. Would have been waiting needlessly.

Hope you are enjoying Canada already. Hopefully you are having a better summer than we are having at the moment ;)

We are here in Lethbridge(200km south of Calgary).life is sweet here and the people are extremely nice and welcoming .We got the SIN#,Alberta health card and bank accounts opened within few hours of the second day of our arrival.I got my driving permit(uk lincence) swapped for a canadian operator lincence two days ago.As you can see , you can get things done without obstacles and help is available anywhere we turn!
Wish we have been longer :)

Maybe a bit too early but surely you can.I personally found those guys in LVO to be inefficient and least organized !

You are welcome mate. Not sure about the hero tag though, I am just another applicant hoping and praying for positive outcome just like everyone else. Nice to know you find the thread helpful. Just like everyone, the forum as a whole has been of immense help to me through out the whole process. You learn something new and helpful everyday. It's great to get help, support and gudance from people who have gone through or going through similar experience.

I know the feeling about feeling nervous until you have the visa at hand. I thought I could relax after the PPR but a few weeks on without my passport back, I got nervous again ;). So there, you'll never be at ease. Sometimes I think the CIC sets up the whole process more like a bootcamp for stress management ;D

I wish you and everyone of us all the best.
