dear friends,

thanks god ,medical received line added to e-cas today 6-may-2012 , thanks my friends in this forum ,please update
Are you sure it appeared today, on a Sunday? Or did you check it on Sunday?

Hi all,

our problem still continues, as our VO told that the PA's medical was the one missing, and not mine-being the spouse..

the DMP won't cooperate to us unless directly communicated by the VO.

while the VO won't communicate to anyone else but the PA alone.

We're not sure if the complete set of medical results of my family (4) were sent by the DMP or it was gone missing in London.

We are tracing where the problem originated but we're having hard time communicating to both parties.

If the PA will re-take medical, we have to ask the Canadian Embassy for the original form, which requesting for it will start up to the original issue that we have to provide info how the document was lost, who's responsible for the lost...where we dont know how it got lost in the first place. Compliance of such questionnaires will require cooperation from our DMP...where he won't agree coz he want the embassy to be his contact alone...no middlemen involved..

please advise. this problem is in its 2nd week now.

Can we call the High Commission in London and ask personally if the PA's medical result really reached their office? Can you give us any contact info...telephone number or fax...

please help....

....ok and you too. All the best to all of us as we wait for our good news ;)

Hi 9j, usually does the visa office start with the background/security checks immediately after the MR is issued or do they wait to receive the Medical results to start the checks? Because I received MR early Dec, my results were received my London on 30 Jan and ecase updated with med results received on 19 April. Still no news of PPR. From this, shall I assume the CHC doesn't undertake the checks unless they know that the medical results are fine.

As well if you could clarify if the ecase getting updated with 'med results received' would mean the results are OK.

If you could kindly clarify the above, many thanks

Just got a call from my consultant, they received my PPR-1 via email. Thanks to God.

Though its amazing that LVO didnt send us the mail directly.. and it was sent to my consultant on 30th April2012 (Same date when my and many other applicants' eCas address got disappeared.) and my lazy consultant forwarded this to me today, after ONE WEEK!!

No worries mate.. My medical line was added into my eCas exactly after TWO months of my medicals. So you should wait and pray.. Thanks for your kind wishes :)

This has been the subject of many discussions here on the forum. I can not give you a definitive answer as I do not work for CIC. However based on observations and feedback from other members, it appear that the background check and criminal check clearance are two separate processes.

It appears that the background checks are usually done before medical requests are sent out. It involves things like scanning through your travel history, gaps and inconsistencies in educational and employment history. consistency of names on certificates, checking for proof of residency if living/lived in other countries. The outcome of this appears to often determine if the applicants gets MR or if their application will be delayed. Straight forward cases tend to go straight to MR after this. If certain inconsistencies are found, they may refer the case to another officer who do a more forensic evaluation of the case/information provided. In some instances, it appears that they employ external agencies to do a more thorough investigation.

It appears that in most instances, criminality checks are run after the above process is completed. Now this is where I am not entirely sure as it appears some applicants get their PPR before the results of their criminality check arrives while others are delayed until after the results arrived. I am not entirely sure why this is the case. As I said earlier, this is based on my observation and nothing official.

I hope this helps.
