Congrats Louth! Good Luck with your move!
By the way, Was there an option to drop-off & collect the passports for visa stamping on your PPR?

Best,

Hello Seniors,

Please tell me what are the test that are performed in medical examination. I learned that it is Physical examination, Blood test, Urine test and X-rays. I wanted to ask if ECG, ultrasound or CT scan or MRI also performed during medical examination.

No. These are not routinely done.

Thanks p2c. We had the option of dropping off and collecting our passports but it was'nt a good one for us since we do not reside in the UK.

Hi all,

my ecase now shows med results received since y'day. Even though this doesn't mean anything in realty, it just gives some relief to know that my file has not gone missing in the pile and that they are actually working on it. God knows how long the wait for PPR will continue, shall update you when i hear from them again. Thanks for all your support. :-* :-* :-*

9j, i'm sure your maple leaf is just next door, wait for the door bell...

if i can ask you a question please. Today, my ecase is updated with 'med results received'. Which of the following do u feel this means?

- The immi officer has simply received our results and doesn't mean medical is OK
- CIC has checked our medical, it is OK but reslts of Backgrnd/sec checks is pending
- CIC feels both medicals and backgrnd results are OK and are about to ask for or passports.

Please, you will see that it is going to be 3 mnths since tghey received our medical results. Our rprf DD was encashed on 16th FEb but there was no update until this morning.

if you cud throw some light please, may God bless you

Hi canada100,

Nice to see some positive movement on your status. It is difficult to say exactly where things are with you case as only your visa officer would know for sure. If I have to guess based on the time frame since you completed your medicals, I would say the last scenario is most likely the case. LVO usually completes medical results review within 6 weeks after results are received. Since you completed yours in January, something else must have been holding up your PPR which is most likely to be background check. A status update 3 months on is very likely an indication that the BG check is now completed and they are ready for PPR.

Caveat: This as you can see is based on my logical analysis and nothing official. I could be wrong, but for your own sake I hope I am right. In any case, you should get some positive news soonest.

All the best mate.

Congratulations!

Can you share that where you did your medicals from. I am also a May 2011 applicant did my medicals from IOM Karachi on 7th Feb, 2012 still didn't get the recd of medical line on Ecas.
