Hi 9j,

I just heard that after the recent decision of the CHC to return all pre-Feb 2008 applicants, priority in processing has been given to the pre-June 2010 applicants who applied post Feb 2008. This would mean that the post June 2010 applicants (like me) don't stand a chance in the near future >:( >:( >:( would some one confirm having heard something similar???

Whoever said that must be misinterpreting the information from CIC. To the best of my knowledge, CIC will continue to process all applicants that have been received between Feb 2008 till date. I don't think there is anything for you to worry about.

In that case will London visa office will send that Draft to Canada ??

As there in draft request form bank ask :-
Currency : Canadian $
Payable to - receiver general of Canada
payable at : ?????????

Hi guys,

I'm a bit confused. What is PPR1 and PPR2? Stage 1 and Stage2?

Thanks in advance for your response.

You don't have to worry about 'payable at', that will be already printed on the draft. Just go to your bank, ask to buy a bank draft in Canadian dollars to be made payable to 'receiver general of Canada'. Your bank teller will complete the necessary details for you.

Hi to all forum members

Just to inform you that after a long struggle and facing many obstacles, I have only this morning received our Passports back from CIC London. The only drawback is that the Passports do not contain stamped Visa but have the form IM 5292 attached to each passport instead.
My search on the net has resulted that this is the COPR form and passports that do not require entry visa to Canada will not be stamped with a Visa.

Anyways I am on Cloud 9 and wish to thank all of you who have guided me through this journey. My prayers and wishes are with you all in achieving your dream.

Many thanks once again ;D

What does this mean Passports do not contain stamped Visa.

This means that if your passport is from a Visa Exempt country you do not require a Permanent Residance Visa stamp/sticker. You would only require a COPR only.

Mission Accomplished Gypses!! :D Big Congratulations.

That is true, since November 2011, CIC no longer affix visas in the passports for countries that do not require visa to enter Canada. Your COPR and your passport will suffice to finalise your landing and apply for PR card. I wish you all the best as you start your new life in Canada.
