Yes but now a days some are getting medical received line with in 21 days.

friend, don't worry about those who are a bit too luckier than the others. the usual norm is 3-6 weeks after receiving the medicals. Now just look at me, 9 weeks after medicals were received in the visa office, still no update of ecase, no PPR, no nothing. So we just need to wait and have no other choice :(

Could someone in this forum clarify this for me!Its my understanding that the decision to grant PR is already made once the "Medical results have been received" line is added to e-cas? Updating of e-cas with DM is just a formality depending on VO responsible for individual case.I have noticed people in this forum having e- cas update as DM and getting PPR afterwards. The time frame for stamping the visa on the passport or posting the landing documents to my mind MAY not have anything bearing with e-cas status. :)

You are absolutely correct LOUTH. I had also pointed this out in my previous responses to similar queries/concerns raised by othe forum members on this thread. Sometimes 'medical result received' lines are not even added; such as in our case. The most important event as far we the applicants are concerned is the PPR. Once an applicant received the PPR, it confirms that a positive decision has been made on the case. The remainder of the process from thereon (ecas updates, passport submission etc) are mere formalities. It is quite evident that ecas update can be sometimes inconsistent; more so lately. While it might give some indications, it should by no means be the definitive indicator.

Hi 9j,

I just heard that after the recent decision of the CHC to return all pre-Feb 2008 applicants, priority in processing has been given to the pre-June 2010 applicants who applied post Feb 2008. This would mean that the post June 2010 applicants (like me) don't stand a chance in the near future >:( >:( >:( would some one confirm having heard something similar???
