Here is the tip - after getting PPR try the following:
(1) Résumé - Check out free Canadian style templates and find out how they do it including professional wordings and stuff! Don't forget to do "Cover letter" and "Thank you letter" as well. Check out samples online.
(2) Canadian address on résumé - use a friend's address or get a mailing address from UPS (find out: http://www.theupsstore.ca/mailbox-rental-services.html). These are real legal addresses offered by UPS. They offer it to immigrants like us to get our PR Cards posted incase you dnt have a permanent address quick enough and they can forward your PR card back to your home country in case you have to leave Canada before the card arrive.
(3) Online number and forward the calls to your present number (check: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/features/allfeatures/online-number/?intcmp=search-direct-online-number).
After all these then start posting your résumé on job boards. If you receive a call just answer their questions as normal, tell them you're coming in few weeks time if asked to come in for interview. Some employers can wait while others might not but hopefully you can get round the timing.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
