As per my assessment, everyone who doesn't hear anything after passing of long time or lets say 1-2 months, should send CSE every 30-40 days because in the end the VOs and their Program Assistants (RIH, MCH, VCM, LBM etc) are all human beings and they might forget and ignore the due date without taking any action. Therefore, whenever you send CSE they are forced to look at your file and when they find that due date; let us say to send MR was 2nd Oct 2015 and they forgot to send you MR on 2nd Oct 2015 and today is 12th Oct 2015, so if today they have received your CSE so immediately next day you will get the MR. In several cases it has happened and the witnesses are present on the main FSWP2014 thread.

Otherwise, if they have not forgotten and missed any of your application's process deadlines, they will simply send you the message that "in queue waiting for an officer to look at it".

Similarly, GCMS notes forces the Visa Officer and their Program Assistants to open your file and if they have missed any deadline to request any updated form or to send MR etc., they immediately do it.

Therefore, in conclusion my assessment is that CSE and GCMS notes at least ensure that your case will not get delayed or forgotten due to human errors of staff working at LVO or any other visa office.

Therefore, whosoever is waiting for more then one month without hearing any news should send CSE and similarly request GCMS notes every 3-months. This advice I got from some of the professional lawyers and immigration consultants.

Dear,
I beg to differ !
How many times have you raised a CSE, and how many times have you requested GCMS notes.
All in all what was the outcome in each, and in total. Did it make a difference.

It is not recommended to raise CSE until the average processing time for your visa office has passed.

Requesting GCMS notes is a personal choice.
(They are not provided by VO, the CIC provides notes written by your VO present in your file with CIC)
---- If you are interested then first request is best, preferably after 7-9 months of application submission.

I hope it is of help to those who don't have an idea.

The Wait is Over! Canada here i come!!! :)

Thank you everyone on the forum for the advice, support and constant encouragement. This forum is truly a great resource for not just information but for those looking for some sort of hope.

I got my passport back from Abu Dhabi today in exactly 10 days of sending it to them (from Kuwait), which I didn't expect because the norm is 4-5 weeks. So expect the unexpected guys. when things start moving, they move fast. for instance, i got my PPR request 3 days after my medical was sent.

I plan to leave early next year. Good luck all of you! and Goodbye for now!

Congrats dear,
Best of luck and wishes in the new land.

Dear fellas!!!

I just recieved my passport request from cic london, now my question is since iam residing in other country i just sent my passport to pakistan, can my wife send all the passports to chc islamabad through tcs or do i need to send it through vfs?? Is it necessary to send it through vfs or can my wife send it through tcs???
Plz reply

A very Good news and congrats. Hope you will be having celebrations and wonderful relaxing feeling. God bless you in future also. Yes your wife can submit passport and also she can receive them too. VFS, Islamabad, Lahore or Karachi is the best option. Vfs is fast, secure and swift. But DON'T SHE TELL THEM THAT HER HUSBAND IS OUT OF COUNTRY, because this might raise questions and inquiry.

That is my advise.

bro I don't think its as simple as that... technology has replaced human errors. there are many options even if someone uses simple excel to remind you something and for such an organization as cic I don't think they would be trusting the human memory instead of technology.
it all depends on case to case basis....

And I am still waiting :-\ :-\

Do you think that i am still in the game or i just need to let it go.

RFI just want to know what you are doing either reject or process please, put an end to this endless waiting.

Can any one advise on which date last MR was reported from LVO
Thanks

Dear all,

Today it's 257 days since PER but no update from LVO. Raised CSE in July and received reply "awaiting review. ....", then received GCMS NOTES in August in which the 15th September was due date, but on 18th September raised CSE and again got the same reply " awaiting review. ...". Today is 13th October but no update from LVO and RFI.

If anyone has the same experience please share OR anyone received any update after due date, please must share.

Thanks

There is no harm in raising the CSE again or ordering GCMS notes again. At lest you can have latest status as I had that due date for review of my application is 19th October. At least إن شاء الله عزوجل my file will be reviewed on that date and hopefully I am optimistic that إن شاء الله عزوجل MR will follow soon.

Yes dear, I know there is no harm to raise CSE but raising CSE frequently is not recommended from LVO and it doesn't make any difference if you get the generic reply again. By the way I ordered GCMS NOTES again today. Let's see what happened. Waiting is the option from which no body can stop us.
