need one guidance..... i am 28 oct applicant....i got PER on 25 jan.... my concern is my husbands passport is going to expire on 5th august.... when is the time to send the updated passport or just wait till i get any request of documents ....advice much appreciated........what should i expect now ..photograph request or what ..if i get photo request would that be the time to update new passport.....

Have you got a new passport? If you have got the new passport send an email to LVO stating that your husband has renewed his passport. you should also attach a scanned copy of the biodata pages of the passport and include the pp number, name, dob, place of birth, date issued, date of expiry, etc in the email. This is also an excuse to ask about the status of your application.

By Allah's grace i got PPR2 request.Many thanks for all your help and advise.
I am going to submit my passport along my families passport to abu dhabi personally. Any idea if my kids also need to come along with me to abu dhabi as my kids are having exams.

my opinion: I dont think you have to take your kids to drop off your passports. In this case, rather than the courier guy dropping the passport, you are dropping it directly.. please include return envelope when you submit..

Three months should be good enough time to receive UCI. Ring CIC sydney if you need your UCI.

I have a silly question to ask, anyone got PPR request even if the required amount of money wasn't kept in the bank account? I am asking this because you normally don't keep the money in the bank rather try to invest somewhere.

I understand that no one at all can check ur current balance , they can only contact the bank to verify that is original document with original stamps and signature, so don't worry and return the money to whoever lend it to u. LOL

Have a query. I am in GCC (not UAE) :

For depositing passports:

1) whether can I courier all our passports to my family friend in Abudhabi, for his submission in person at canadian embassy with 2 signed 'Use of authorized representative-IMM5476E'
a. For authorising him to be my un-paid representative henceforth.
b. For cancellation of my paid consultant (engaged while application to CIC)

For collecting passports:

2) Can my family friend (as my new representative), collect in person after stamping OR will these be only sent by Aramex. Which will be faster?

Even in case of 'borrowed money' (Strictly against rules), it is not feasible to RETURN before at least landing. They may ask for proof even at landing. But i believe if we invest somewhere and they ask for bank statement, we can provide them proof where we have invested. Provided that investment can easily be liquidated.
