Dear Forumites,

I attended CIIP session today - informative, insightful and long 8:30 AM to 6 PM. Its all about jobs, from all preparations that can be done before leaving, steps that can be taken after landing, ways to get "Canadian exp"(esp. regulated professions), importance of cover letters and Canadian style resumes and other valuable tips to find a job. Some facts, figures, starter information and teach some Canadian english too 8)

Would give you the Canadian viewpoint of the job market and how to approach it. It seems 80% of jobs are thru internal referrals and only 20% you see outside in portals etc :o networking is essential.

Tomorrow is a one-on-one 1 hr session, where they would work out an action plan for us and promised to hook us with CIIP partners in Canada who would help us in the job hunting process.

Would recommend attending for everyone. Especially for regulated professions, as you would get valuable advice and technique that were successfully used, as shown in success stories.......

Buzz me if u need more info.

Dear Members,

Good to see that many LVO applicants are in contact with each other and share valuable information with each other.

I applied on July 31, 2013 and received my PER on Oct 28, 2013 under NOC 2132. After that there is complete silence and online status is still "We received you application for permanent residency on July 31, 2013".

Is this normal ? When i should except further response from LVO ?

Regards,
MAC

By the grace of Allah Kareem.....I have received following letter from LVO few moments ago:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to
continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

- Updated Schedule A Background/ Declaration forms for each family member over the age of 18.
- Original, updated police certificates from Pakistan (applicant and spouse)
- Original, updated police certificate from UK (applicant)
- Right of Permanent Residence Fee for CAD $980
- Medical examination results for all family members

I have given 30 days to complete all the tasks, now I have a question regarding PCC, I have obtained my UK PCC back in October 2013, kindly confirm it will suffice the requirement or do I need to obtain a new one ??

What is your opinion guys, whether my BG/SC has been completed or ??

Just for the information of my fellow forum members I was a bit disappointed because of my GCMS which was created on 01.05.2014 and my case was not processed at all, however application assignment due date was 15.05.2014.

Alhamdulillah, I can say now LVO is working on NOC 2147 as well and by the way my VO is KKB.

My best wishes are with all of you, wait with FAITH......:)

Congratulations!!

Hi

My friend is in Ottawa. She applied for FSWP to the CPP-O (Ottawa) Visa Office. But she belongs to Pakistan. She has done with her medical but now she has got an email from CIC that her case is transferred to London Visa Office. So I wanna ask why does this happen? Any idea?

I appreciate your responses.
