question came in my mind, that when you are landing in canada,

is there any requirement of carrying money ? i mean if your POF is $11,000, than you have to take this eleven thousand with you or it is your own wish how much u want to take

Yes, you'll have to carry minimum funds that are required for the first time when you land, they may ask randomly if you are bringing money or not & If you don't have minimum required amount, than they may refuse your entry. So it's better to take them.

but if from 11,000 i carry 4 or 5 thousand, as i dont need money to settle because my brother is living there, he can manage my expenses

You have to prove that you have enough funds to support you and your family for 6 months, that's what they like to know. Officially there is no such thing which can give you permission to get your brother's support.

Dear mish

you have to carry the CAD $ as per cic latest funds requirement. No other option.

Hi,
For my case process started at 28th January and requested for updated documents couple of days after. shall I presume my BG checks started from the mentioned date? requested documents reached at LVO by 5th March. How long more patience for MR?
Cheers
yes, your BG checks must be running now including the second eligibility review done by the visa office. You may send a CSE asking about the status of your case if you haven't already done so.

Hi I-man

Thanks you for update. I ve already sent final medical done what can expect next and how long it take please?

Thanks
Hi Nuvin,
"When" is the golden question that no one can answer for sure ;D the quote I have posted says between 2-6 months depending on how long your security check is going to take.
I'm also waiting for the next step from LVO which I hope to be the PR. don't worry, wish you a quick landing visa on your passport very soon.
all the best.

It would be interesting to see how LVO acts for Interviewed applicants. They have personally met applicants so let's see if that cuts down background / security checks time v/s those who are not interviewed after medicals.

Re: Process at VO

Hi guys, does anyone know if there will be intake of applications for FSWP in May 2014?
Does anybody know if all the approved NOCs for 2013 will remain?
Also, how long does it take for an application to be reviewed after an interview.

Cheers all.
