thanks farhan..actually recently someone called in my hubby's company to confirm his official email address and he took his full name...
although he is commonly called by his first 2 names only in workplace...so we were doubting its a bg check..

62 days to MR already achieved...lets hope for the best now

congrats a lot. My timeline is similar to yours ( 1 day difference). This is encouraging news for me too.

Still there is no regular pattern adopted by LVO. It is just random, probably based on NOCs. My NOC is 3216, seems to be under least priority.

I am getting frustrated , just pray for me to get some positive updated from LVO , it will work as a steroid for me

We have seen one case (Ebasco) yesterday where his MR after ECAS updated came after 7 days. Normally for NDVO it's coming within 4-7 days after ECAS update.

So hopefully by next week end we can expect.

Congrats Kabayan for the movement of your papers, Anyway regarding the passport renewal, you are exactly doing the right thing. You may ask for extension only in order to sustain the requirement of passing your passport on time.

Thanks for sharing....
I am from the Philippines, based in UAE...the problem is the processing of passport renewal in UAE for filipino expats is 6 to 8 weeks, even if they allow me to apply it the soonest.... and if I'll wait for that, i'll go beyond the deadline provided to me recently by LVO....the only thing I can ask the embassy in UAE is to extend it for six months....All I know is that, a person is not allowed to travel if his passport expiry is less than six months.....i don't know if the same situation applies for Visa stamps from other countries....but definitely, I am obliged to apply for extension by May 2014.....
