Good Morning All,

Through CIIP session I gathered some useful information which can be of some help to all of us, compiling the most important topic- Resume writing tips.

Don's and don'ts for Canadian style resume Writing Skills:-

1. Should not exceed more than 2 pages.
2. Should not have any personal information (Religion, Nationality) on resume.
3. Should not have photograph endorsed on resume unlike UAE where it's very common to have PP size photograph on top.
4. Do not disclose your marks in education's section unless you have A grade, better to write just Bachelors or Masters of so and so University.
5. Do not use any abbreviations or shot forms for anything.
6. Use the key words within your respective areas like Java, .Net etc. Reason being large corporates in Canada use electronic system to filter resumes from the available one's. The resume with more key words will be picked by the system.
7. Mention References are available on request at the end.
8. Divide your resume in 3 parts

9. Be serious about soft skills n formatting.

10. Try to show your presence through LinkedIn FB twitter, join some groups in Canada.

as of now we r scheduled for 19 june and then on 21 june at 4pm we have MAP session...difficult for abu dhabi ppl though to come 2 days...

Salam saeed bhai,

im not sure what it is but they made us fill up action plan form and took our CVs..so maybe they direct us how n where to settle specifically considering experience and requirements....this is only my idea...

lolz njoy karein MM2 bhai faraghat at office..u will get very busy once in canada
well uae is going not too good not too bad ... depends on ur field too...we have a lot of members here residing in uae so its quite evident that 'all is NOT well' here also...but definitely im going to miss uae...we really hope v can come back here after passport....inshaAllah...(maybe i change my perspective after landing in canada)

but the thing is i dont like fraghat at all.... so thats why planning to go to UAE for job hunt ...

You are almost there, in the nutshell MAP session is one on one session with the counselor, who will be guiding you basically how to get jobs, how to survive in that, base don your education and present experience how you can excel in Canada.

They will not get you the jobs, rather they will tell the way, show the way forward to move in your carrier.

Also they will forward your resume to the local communities or colleges and add in their database of the province you will be interested to go, plus to some of the potential employers too.

1- I received MR forms for my two kids 2.5 year old and 8 months old , what kind of medical examination is required from them ?
2- after the MR is send to Visa office what is the expected time to get visa ready.

First of all congratulations ;D......on a good new .........under 5 years there is no medical test they just check weight, hight, and under two year baby they measure head in round ........nothing else ......but they will charge fee of total four person ......in which country you are going to appear ........
