Thanks Ahab for your reply.
Should my Iqama (Residency Permit) be vaild for one more year (in the future according to my lawyer)?

Please see the below extract from CIC (Section: Visa Offices)
Applicants for Permanent Residence
You must select the visa office that serves your country of nationality or the country where you have been legally admitted for at least one year.

I also quote my lawyer "R11 means that you have to be admitted to the country where you are residing for at least one year without leaving the country and your residence visa should also valid for one year in the future"

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Irrespective of your Residence Permit expiry, as long as it is valid and renewable (as you said because your job will continue inshAllah!) then no other thought to apply from Amman -- In my View --

Regarding the processing speed of London Visa Office, its just another story that you should read about on this thread :)

All the best!!

Hi guys just made our first landing in Canada...it's a long and very tiring trip with our one year old baby...the arrival was very smooth at Toronto...first before landing wet required to fill up disembarkation card, then at the airport, I was asked by the immigration officer bout basic question, like who are with u, where we came from and what with us... That was very quick...then they stamped all our passports.....after that we proceed to another counter where we presented our CoPR, and signed some docs... There they asked bout our mailing address where they could send our PR cards...then to another office cubicle where they issued our SiNs and some related orientation... Then we proceed to small kiosks where they gave us booklets and fliers bout canada......after that we picked our baggages thn to the customs area for the good and financial declarations... I have all the forms prepared with us, an as expected the process is flawless... That's it, approximately u need 1 an 1/2 hours to finish the proces...It may take long if r ques ahead of u... The advice is if u have connecting flight to other place in Canada, allow some hours for the process advisable is atleast three hours before the next flight..... For us we have 2.45 hours before our next flight to Alberta...we were in Hurry to catch our next flight... Overall the entire experience is ok except for the baby...if u planning to Land soon, just prepare everything... Ur immigrqtion documents, forms, the list of goods and proof of funds.... Nway d ppol r very welcoming.....

Hi dear Farhan,

You should be hearing from us in the next couple months.

It means your file is under "Security Checks", and it is hard to give any time frame that is why they write this sentence.
You got MR before SC, so now SC are under the way.

I have sort of update (only sort of)....
Upon my recent CSE, LVO replied, but this time bit specific. Following is their reply:

Dear Applicant,

Please be advised that your application is currently awaiting review by an immigration officer. We will be in contact with further information once this review has taken place.

You should be hearing from us in the next couple months.

Yours sincerely,

The most important part is the one that I highlighted. Standing in May, next couple months would conceptually be Jun - Jul.

So we must anticipate PPR 1 from 01st Jun to 31st Jul. This complies my date of PER (which was Jul 02, 2013)....one year from date of PER...
That is my interpretation.

Though panel physician told that results are OK but approval from CIC is a huge milestone.

Though it is not necessary that ECAS shows real time status but if it shows then it is very relaxing.
Congrats abu hassan, hope you will get ppr before may. wish you all the best.

Regarding the proof of funds, they didn't asked for evidence, they just relied on my declaration, which states the amount in and draft, in cash and in what currency...but I have all these on my hand whenever they asked... Advice is make sure your declarations are supported... I'll never knowing they will ask you....I hav some relatives here...we r just here to satisfy the landing requirements, we'll b back for good first quarter of 2015... After your landing, your ECAS will be updated with "complete" and it will show your landing details...and your declared address in Canada, which will be used to mail your pr cards...

:D Its just that I love travelling. I lived most of my time in England(Work visa)and had to move to Australia as I couldn't risk waiting for Canadian PR.
If given an option I would have never left England as I found it to be the most accepting multicultural society and people are extremely courteous. I visited Toronto this March and the weather was that I couldn't tolerate( I considered UK's weather to be pretty harsh and this was like something from Mars :p)Also I didnt find Toronto that happening and every person I spoke to told me jobs are scarce. US was an another experience and after visiting NewYork I have fallen in love with that city! It is as mesmerising as it portrayed in the movies 8)

Have been in Australia(Melbourne) foe last one month and honestly speaking I would prefer to stay here. The weather is fantastic along with the landscape(beaches/countryside). People are financially more strong and wages are almost 3 times as compare to England and twice if compare to Canada. The lifestyle is another big factor and I would rate it exceptional! You have to come here to experience and believe what I have said. Then again I might be wrong because I might be preceiving things in a different way and I am only in my mid 20's lol :D
Hi MH-UK,
Crux : you are mid's 20 loving traveller :) Whereever you go, you would love that it.lol.Sometime it happens with me lol

When I applied my Iqama was expiring in 30 days. Now my medicals have been uploaded as well.

Saudi Arabia is your country of permanent residence. Therefore, London is your Visa Office.
