I have gone through a presentation , that was on CIC web page or on their open data portal in Jan 2013 , in which it was clearly stated and graphically presented that all backlog will be cleared by June 2015.

As from Jan 2015 new intake will take in effect , and first applicant who will get his application processed from any visa office will be in July 2015.

To be logical on Sep 29 , there was a total backlog of 66,000/- applicants , lets minus 15,000/- that they have cleared till Dec 31,2013

Balance is 51,000/-
Add 2013 (5000 x 3 ) = 15,000/-
Total Applicants to be cleared in 2014 = 66,000/-
Less Visa Quota for 2014 = ( 48,000)
Balance = 18,000/-


Lets hope for the best

That they anticipate to clear by June 2015.

I agree 2015 by the earliest, nobody seems to agree with me that the 25 months is what we should be hoping for, please on this thread have said by end of 2013 then Jan 2014. Just keeps getting later and later before we hear anything from the LVO.

All people can do and need to do is to contact the minster with our concerns and requite his processing time that was within a year otherwise people we are looking are a good 2 year slog.

none of us got any request for Medical after PER issuance....ur cousin might have applied in some other criteria...not same like us...
otherwise he can't be the only one....we have a big list of may 2013 lvo applicants....

Hi. How is that possible that your cousin applied in May 2013 and got PER in October? That is 5 solid months. May 2013 applicants got PER between July- August. We need more clarification please. Just for clarification, Visa offices no longer process applications pre 2008.

My younger sister applied in September- 2009 , paid On Demand Visa Fee ie RPRF along with all additional documents in June 2012 , and till date waiting for any update from LVO , every time when she drops an email , gets a decent "Shutup Call" , that her file is under processing and background checks , and LVO will contact her once this is complete , and it might take several months - (She is getting same response since November 2012) ............................ , any comments ???????????????????

My elder sister submitted her full documents in December 2010 with LVO , 8 months after me , got her application processed in 2011 , and landed on Feb 26,2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -------------- Any Comment??????

Many applicants in NDVO are stuck with their passports , some of them are on forum , on thread "Medical monsoon Started at New Delhi Visa Office"

No one can predict working of visa office - specially for Pakistani nationals.

Log on to www.data.gc.ca

and download "permanent Resident Inventory" files , you will have an idea that case of pre Feb 2008 applicants , about whom they have made decision are still in pending list.

Working of Visa office is very different from central offices , I appeared fro renewal of US visa in Jan 2013 , Visa office asked me following questions;

1. Your Full Name Sir
2. How many days will you stay in US.
3. How many Children you hae
4. Can you write their details on form , "congratulations Sir your visa is approved" .

I received my visa after 9 Months in October 2013 , and at that time my passport was having valid 5 year UK Visa , 5 Year Valid Canadian Business Visitor Visa , 2 Year Valid German Schengen Visa , 3 years Valid Australian Visa and 1.5 year Valid Korean Visa

They can delay application on pretext of "Security / Background Checks"

I am sharing facts with my friends , whom I believe are my family members , on this forum , never wanted to panic / hurt or challenge any one - If some one feels , I apologize for this

Congratulations on your great achievements! I only asked for information about your cousins application. Applications from 2008 and pre have been terminated by CIC. Cheers.

I have sent another email to the Minister as I didn't get a reply from my last one - just asking him if there is anyway he could look at the situation and maybe look at having files transferred to a less busy VO or if not, then look at someway to reduce it from a 25 month wait!

Anyone else heard back from him?

LVO has not started processing of FSW2013 applicants around the globe not even people from EU countries who are under LVO.

Dear Forumites,

I sent an email to LVO to request for information regarding the addition of a child (born after the application was submitted to CIO) into my FSW application and got the following reply.


In order to add the child to an application for permanent residence at this office, we require the following documents:
processing fee for your child (if accompanying you to Canada)
your child's birth certificate
copy of your child's valid passport
4 recent photographs of your child
updated IMM0008 Generic for yourself and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself and your spouse.
a “Certificat de Sélection du Québec” for your child ( in his or her name), if you wish to immigrate to the province of Québec (http://www.micc.gouv.qc.ca/fr/index.asp)



My Query to the forumites is:

How should I pay the fees for the child. I think it is CAD 150 which I have to pay. Should i fill the "Fee Payment Form – Application for Permanent Residence [IMM 5620] " again with credit card details and send it to LVO or CIO? I checked the LVO fee payment website http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/united_kingdom-royaume_uni/visas/fees-frais.aspx#footnote1 and it says "Please note that if you submit your application to a Canadian office (CPC or CIO), payment should be made at that office". Does that mean I have to send the payment form to CIO?

Secondly, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that LVO sends all correspondence via post and NOT by email as they mentioned that "Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post to the applicant at the mailing address provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details". So we should be waiting for the MR letter NOT MR mail.

According to our records a letter of assessment was sent via email 14 Nov 2013 advising your file was being transferred to the visa office for further assessment/decision. Your file is no longer with our office. Any enquiries regarding your file should be directed to the visa office in London.

The following is a copy of the letter that was sent via email: Then attached PER CONFIRMATION....

My question is that as per this reply from CIO, my file is transfered to LVO or not.
