I worked as a nurse supervisor for 2+ years and based on that I applied under NOC 3011. I sent my application in December, very next month i.e. in January, I got promoted on different position and recently have been shortlisted for position of manager in the same organization. I have informed all this to my immigration cosultant, but he said that he will send update only if it will be asked by VO. Is it sounds ok? or do I need to update the VO about change in designation. If I will update than will it have any impact on my application in terms of NOC as with change of designation my NOC has been changed and if I will not update the change in designation than will it have any impact on my application?

Well, this is a tricky question to answer but as per my knowledge CIC clearly states that applicant should inform Visa Office immediately about any changes in life circumstances which includes job as well. So you should update your VO. You have mentioned that you have been promoted in same organization then why would your NOC change??? You are being promoted and this is a positive thing and if your JD's still match your NOC then it could impact your application in a positive way. But Decision is upto you!

Hello Friends...I have submitted my passport to Embassy of Canada in Abu Dhabi on 21st April and still waiting to receive it back, though letter sent earlier confirmed that passport will be returned within 10 working days. Anyone is facing similar situation?

Hi guys,

I received my medical request, RPRF request, Passport copy request, and information chart update on March 18, 2015.
I submitted all requested information on 4th April (my third line was updated by then). My immigration officer is KKB.

Until now, I have not received any passport request.

Is it normal? I felt it is a bit long comparing to other applicants.

I appreciate your responses.

I think the average time is 4 - 6 weeks.

If it is 4-6 weeks than why do they commit 10 working days (2 weeks) in writing. Mind you this is the only time a time-line is stipulated during the whole process!

In my passport request, i was not given any timeline but through some forum posts i have figured out that it's 4 - 6.

God is indeed Amazing. So happy and full of joy to declare the goodness of God, we received back our Passport with the Visa yesterday. Praise be to our Lord.

Submitted to Abu Dhabi embassy and it took 25 days to receive it back.

Hi Guys

Raised a CSE again with the LVO today. Got a response that its in queue to be reviewed.

However, strange thing is that this time around the VO (RIH) dint sign his email. Though the response came from Immigration and Medical Services Division. Is it something to worry about?
