This is really disappointing, if they are taking MINIMUM 6 months only for background check. It means there is no way, our applications will be finalized within 1 year time frame .

Your and mine application/PER date is almost same, so it is not a good news for me either

I don't think so. Individuals are different, so will background check be. It could be less than 6 months. Note that background is in 2 parts- work experience, qualification etc and security/criminality checks.

but the way they are processing and taking 6 months time, it sounds as we should not be optimistic and expect to hear from LVO soon.

You must be relax now. As I suggested earlier, answer only what is being asked, nothing more or nothing less. If you follow this rule, you will smoothly go through the interview.

Another Dry day from LVO.

After 6-7 interview request on Last Monday, seems we will have to wait again 3 weeks further to smell any further turtle movement

Seems LVO works only one day in a whole week

That is the reason u should not be worried about the 6 months BG check. LVO is just trying to say that people should not bother them at this time sending frequent emails.

Just received a reply from LVO in response to my query regarding sent docs acknowledgement

Thank you for your email.

Yes, we have received your documents.

For information: lengthy background checks are now in process for your application. We are unable to advise exactly when they will be concluded but they are expected to take a minimum of 6 months. You need take no further action at this time.

Please consider this information before contacting our office again.

I read somewhere that sometimes, they hide notes from applicants by writing 15(i), or 16(i) to conceal information. Check if u have such in your entire gcms file.

I applied under NOC2147 and am living in the UK. Application reached NS end of May 2013.

I haven't read the email properly but will post all the details when I get home (currently at work).
