No, I didn't send police certificates with my application. No there isn't a gap but I submitted last 10 years and they are asking for personal history since the age of 18

An automated email is sent requesting the medicals and it's one email per person. I also got an email from an actual person (visa officer) requesting additional information.

I've just checked my ecas status and it reads: 2.We started processing your application on February 7, 2014. Looks like they did their checks in two weeks - I think my file was quite straightforward as I only had one employment (I've been with my employers for 12 years).

Thanks guys. Our payment method was debit card which is why it says DC. We didnt use credit card or draft method but it worked out ok.

Just as an update, we have received the coveted PER email yesterday afternoon (8th August 2013). :D It does look like thursdays and fridays are the days for PER and CC charges to be more common. Now we can relax a little and enjoy the weekend though Im sure like other applicants nobody will...

Morning all, I am a May 24th applicant applying under noc 2147 (details already on spreadsheet). I was a little bit disappointed about CIC not charging cards this Saturday but really praying that my card will be charged today.
