*Note: On 30/07/12 passport request was issued by regular mail. On 08/08/12 an e-mail was received advising to ignore this PPR and wait for a new one, because additional background checks are needed that will take AT LEAST 1 month

Thanks a lot. And do they know that you already left UK??? I had impression that file is transferred to the applicant's new country of residence or the visa office covering it when he moves out. I hope my impression is wrong as I wish my file to remain in London. Anybody who changed country in the middle of process - please comment what happened to your file.

hello dear,, i m in same situation like you people ,,,,, i applied from london and now i m residing in india,, i emailed london visa office to please change my visa office but they replied visa office can not change , but they changed my address they sent all medical and correspond on my indian address . now i m planning for tourist visa for uk after i will get PPR ......

Do u mean if on January 2013, I haven't been granted my PR to Canada, I can easily go back to Italy where I have got a PR and wait for my Canadian procedure to continue in London visa office though I am not living any more in the UK?
and how my MR is going to be done and PR as well?

UK Visa will expire in January 2013. Applying for extension in 2 weeks. Need to ask my lawyer in which cases files get transferred to other visa offices.
