Hi my friend i m still waiting as i sent the two csq nd still waiting the background checks and in the last reply the told my you are still waiting the background checkes and no action is required . My visa officier is JMR andd i think he is very slow and in the web site the processing time is 17 months so what should i do

Hi bonvista,

Another member mentioned that if you see "decision made" then you can attempt pick up even after one week, but I have no personal experience with this.

I am going tomorrow to London and I hope my passport is ready, otherwise it would be a 10-hour train ride in vain. :'(

Ketevan,

Once you ecas show decision made your Visa was issued on that same date. My Visa was issued the next day i submitted my passport and the date correspond with the day my ecas changed to decision made.

If there is any issue they will have contacted you much much earlier.. The department that issues Visa is different and the work load is lighter.. For me that the most efficient department followed by the Medical section where medical results are reviewed.

Hi bonvista, yes I received visa today at 2 pm exactly but there is no maple leaf on my visa - just a general sticker with dates and administrative remarks.
The process took 30 seconds as I was the first. But I spent extra 5-10 minutes checking my COPR and visa for typos, as advised by the officer. No typo found. The package also contained general landing advice and invitation to pre-departure orientation.

Congrats! Interesting, my visa does not have any maple leaves ;D Although my Canadian tourist visa from last year indeed had a red maple leaf.

At 2.30 I was already boarding my train back to Glasgow ;D
I spent 10 hours on train today and woke up at 5 am, but the suffering was worth it. It only took 2 weeks to get back my passport in person, but by courrier it takes 6 weeks (as per Passport request instructions). Moreover, due to holiday season, it would have exceeded 6 week period.
