I think I remember seeing people on this forum doing their medical outside of their country of residence, maybe try searching the forum for more specific examples, too.

Yes, you can go for it in any other country, just make sure it’s under panel physician which they mentioned on website, and go for Belfast or London. It takes 2 to 4 days to get appointment.

New to this forum and following is my brief timeline:
Nationality: Pakistani
Residence: Ireland
Biometric:7 July 2021
London VO acknowledgement: 1 September 2021

Nothing after this and no medical request or anything. Is that normal?

I mean you don't mention above when was your application sent and recieved by IRCC (start date). A detailed timeline like this would be really helpful. Thanks!

There are no approved physicians in Northern Ireland. So not Belfast.

Go TLS Dublin with walking appointment and you will get visa in 2 weeks.

Normally positive DM is followed up with the passport request, although the timeline between the two seems to vary.

UPDATE:

The application status on ECAS changed to "Decision Made". Saw this yesterday.

The thing is, we are about to leave the country soon. I won't be able to hand them my passport in case that "decision made" was a positive one and they want my passport. Should I be sending a webform to confirm change of address (to a different country)?

You aren't providing much information here about which country you're in now, which country you'll be in, and for how long.

If - for example - you're all going to Canada to stay and have visa for that already, etc - change address to Canada when you arrive, should be able to do landing in Canada. If you're going somewhere for a week - don't bother.
