London Heathrow airport-transit visa required?

I'm travelling to Canada on Aug 1st via London(Heathrow).
I have a study permit/TRV.
I have a transit time of 3.5 hrs at the airport.
Do I need a transit visa? I'm an Indian.

No you don't need transit visa unless there is terminal change from your connecting flight.

U misunderstood me. I said terminal change not airline change.

eg. From Delhi T3 - London Heathrow T5

and LH T5- Toronto Pearson T1 In this case you don't need transit visa.

From Delhi T3 - London Heathrow T5

and LH T3- Toronto Pearson T1 In this case you may need visa.




Check your ticket. Terminal will surely be mentioned there.

British Airways uses only Terminal 5 for all their flights in and out of Heathrow ... similarly EMIRATES uses only terminal 3 in and out of Dubai.

As long as your Canada's connecting flight is from the same terminal you land in UK ... and that your stop-over in London is not more than 8 Hours you are good to go! No additional transit visa required.
