No it doesnt work like this, as you have issued a work permit it is treated as contract of employment, so when it expires means employment contract matured (Doesnt matter whether it is permanent position).

The simplest way is to post that job on jobs.gc.ca website and that will be fine.

If your employer applied in general process where the timeline is for 4 months in that case i would advise you to apply for Work permit (Based on LMO file# though this work permit will be rejected but you will get time to stay in implied status) and later restoration on TRV.

If he filed under Accelerated - LMO process you may get the LMO in 25-30days and work permit is 65days process but you can continue working with him on Implied status if you apply work permit based on A-LMO.

PS: A-LMO requirement is employer must have obtained LMO in previous two years.

I hope I covered all of your queries in detail

NOC 6211

LMO applied: June 12th, 2012
Received: dunno when
Employer got a call on: September 10th, 2012
NEGATIVE LMO received: October 3rd, 2012

I am devastated... They said something like that based on their research with good recruitment efforts is possible to find a Canadian or PR (in Ontario) for this position...

Any advises of what to do? PS I applied for Work Permit on Septmber 9th, so I was on implied status... What is my status now??

Thanks

Inbox me details of your employer business and your job title. your noc has actually abundance of canadian candidates you should have selected some other NOC. like NOC 6216 etc

Apply for restoration/TRV and reapply for LMO under different NOC.

Hi, just got negative opinion for LMO. The reason is job posting wasnt published correct. Already on implied status, now my company want to hire immigration consultant to do LMO application again correctly. Can you please recommend someone? What should I do for my status now? Apply for visitor? How does restoration status works?
Thank you for any answers.

Apply for restoration $200 u will be provided 6 months TRP to stay and wait for results of LMO.

@whitepawn

I think the current processing time for A-LMO is around couple weeks. My employer applied for mine on 7th November. Positive LMO response was received on 21st November.

Cheers.

My Employer filed LMO application in October 2012 and now he got rejection letter coz officer said income is offered is very low and if you increase the wage level then you ll get some better experienced person...it means in any case they wont approve my LMO. But, my lawyer gonna apply again for it, how much more time will it take now??? its a normal LMO, not a A-LMO. For the previous LMO application, I got the result in 50-60 days.

Hi,

My employer applied for LMO on Oct 25th. Recieved an email on Nov 13th for compliance review for previous LMO, replied to compliance review on NOv 19th. No news since then.

Regards,
Shiv

Employer submit LMO on Feb 10, 2013. Dont know when to get the positive LMO :'(

Your employer will receive email for file number in 30days, I applied LMO for a guy in Dedember and he received the positive LMO on Feb14, so you can expect yours by March end or mid april.

I was recently offered a job and the employer is filing an LMO (their first). Their lawyer is telling them it should be 8-10 weeks but I'm reading that if it's a new company it can take 3 months. Do you think there is any likelihood, if it is approved, that I could start in June?

The general timeline advised by Service Canada is 8 weeks which your lawyer told you. It doesn't matter whether it is first time or second, application in Ontario takes 2-3 months on average. Unless it is applied under Accelerated LMO general applications take longer.

Hope you should get it sooner!
