LMO processing Time - Alberta

Hey guys,
Just to give you an update on processing times, I got my LMO approved today. The application was received on March 8, they phoned my employer this morning and approved on the phone. I have already received the email and it is for two years. (YAY!).

LMO expiration is 2 years? So it means you can still lodge the visa application even after a year you are given a positive LMO?

LMO expiration is 2 years? So it means you can still lodge the visa application even after a year you are given a positive LMO?

Hi Goldbank,
No the LMO itself will expire in November (already sent in WP application), but it allows a two year work permit, so I will not have to go through this whole process again next year. Hopefully by then I will have PR anyway.

Hello,

I've got a job offer yesterday coming from a nice employer and I had viewed his business profile. I found out that his company has been part of Alberta Business and Association. However, he asked for my name and complete address and we're waiting for my LMO after 4 weeks. I'm hoping that I'll get the chance to work in Canada as a food and beverage server and be able to grant a positive LMO soon. I keep on praying that I'll be able to post good news in this forum.

LMO update: Positive LMO received May 25 after exactly 11 weeks, will expire on October 2012.
Have lodged visa application already.

goldbank, Can I ask what's the job position you have applied for? My employer just said to me he'll have my LMO in 4 weeks. Does it still varies on the position you have applied for? Anyways, thanks for future replies to my queries.

What's your position applied X. i wanna know coz LMO approval might depend upon the position. Hope that I'll get mine in 4 weeks as what we expected.

My NOC is FCA. they got positive Lmo in just 2-3 weeks of time.. and Got M.r After 2-3 weeks again. Fast processing..

my position is just almost the same as yours. I'll be F&B server. However, I'm hoping that mine won't took for 11 weeks. I'm still praying that I'm just as lucky as X with only 2-3 weeks of waiting. Thanks though G.bank ^_^

Wow. I'm also looking forward on having the same situation like yours. I'm only on my 4th day and it keeps me worrying though. I always pray for a good result. Anyways, thanks X. ^_^
