I was told that it was fine to take the leaves verbally but nothing on paper.No sickness pay.
Without anything formal at the moment it will be interpreted as you quit because you left the employer and did not show up for work. Even if taking unpaid leave you need to have written approved leave. As already suggested you can speak to a labour lawyer but you are unlikely to get fast results so need to try and find another employer with an LMIA and start the process again. You should be able to get a consultation with a lawyer for a reasonable fee. As a WP holder you don’t qualify for EI because you don’t qualify to start another job immediately. Y

It depends on ops country of origin. If Venezuelan, he can cross canadian border and have high chance of asylum

I have another option.
I am in a relationship with my bf since Nov 2022 and we have been living together since that day.
He is willing to sponsor me but i was married before in my country of origin and separated. But never divorced.
The divorce should take 2 months to be official.
I dont want to go this way.Is it an option i should consider?
