Hi there,
I am stuck in a really bad situation with my studies. I just have one subject left and have some gap in my studies, so I am afraid that my PGWP will be declined. I am thinking to just skip the rest of my study and try to get a LMIA. Is LMIA a good option and if yes, are there any special requirements?

It depends on ur relationship with ur employers and u need to show some extra skills to get that.
Lmia might be a good option if no option left for u.
It is advisable to complete ur study as it may not help u to pgwp but may help u to secure a job later on.
For lmia time frame varries so i guess u have enough time left for ur current status to end.
For LMIA government will make an assessment for ur work and duties assigned, ur employer agree to provide job for minimum 12 months and the duties u r assigned can not be done by any Canadian or permanent resident.

You have to find an employer and than convince him for lmia and than after positive result u have to lodgd application for closed work permit.
This sometimes take 6 months or more and u can pass the studies left in this time so better to progress on both parallelly

All the best

Unless you have some specialized skills and experience, your chances of an LMIA are pretty much nil. Have you actually looked into the LMIA process?
