Hello,

can someone share the actual recent LMIA processing time from the moment of government fee being paid?

can see it is 49 business day , should we expect 30% time more for actual processing time ?

many thanks

Processing times are an average and each file is processed differently. Cannot estimate

my employer told he applied on Apr 4, but still doesn't out yet...
is this normal ?
Low or high skilled? Has your employer contacted EDSC about status? Did employer use a lawyer? Processing is an estimate so depends on the job and reviewing whether the company is eligible and meets requirements.

mine applied in May 12 and got approved in June 28. Ask your lawyer to follow up and send urgent email request to EDSC.

It is not usual for LMIAs to take much longer than 45 days. Really depends on the type of job and employer and whether an interview is needed for the employer. Many employers have not used a lawyer to apply for an LMIA especially for lower skilled positions and positions where the pay is relatively low. Paying for an LMIA has already likely put a financial strain on many employers. Also much easier for higher skilled and highly specialized jobs to to get approved for LMIA without much more investigation or interviews so that leads to faster processing times.

Thanks all replying.
would it be possible EDSC pending application forever and never provide decision?

No, not possible.
