Dual Intent

Hello Prashanthbv, I have received my LMIA approval (Skill type A) which mentions permanent job offer and 1000$ as fees paid. but, nowhere it mentions the LMIA type i.e. Only WP or Dual(WP+PR). In your case, Does your LMIA approval specifically mentions that it is dual. Otherwise, How to know the LMIA type just by looking at the LMIA approval letter?

Hi,

My company applied for my LMIA on 16th June 2015 from BC and still waiting to hear back.

Also I am outside of Canada.

Anyone in similar situation? Let's connect here.

Thanks!

Does anyone know how to find LMIA approval type from the LMIA approval letter i.e. Work Permit LMIA OR Dual intent LMIA (WP + PR) ?
I do not see anything specifically mentioned in the LMIA approval regarding its type.

Adhiraj, our LMIA says on the 1. page of 5: This LMIA is issued with reference to your stated commitment to:
- support both a work permit application and a permanent residence application.....

LMIA application at the beginning of Nov 2015 for Ontario, still waiting... ::) I guess there is no way for me (or the company that wants to hire me) to know how long is the queue, right?
Cheers

Hi
Since 13 weeks waiting for Ontario hotel LMIA. Allah know when it will com up?

Hi,

I have issue with my LMIA process.

I applied for LMIA under NOC 1223 on Jan 26th my employer got an email stating that the Job posting online is not meeting the requirement and asked us to submit additional documents regarding job posting..

I initially posted the job add on October 1st 2015 and applied for LMIA on Nov 2nd 2015 but they didn't process the application stating that documents are missing and requested the employer to increase the pay rate at this point file no was not generated. So we increased the pay rate and added the missing docs and reapplied on Jan 26th my employer got an email stating ob posting online is not meeting the requirement and asked us to submit additional documents regarding job posting..

My Question:

In this case the email was sent by service Canada to my employer but consultant replied to that email coping the employer. My consultant filled the representation for initially.
So is is an issue that my consultant responded to the question rather than employer.

Please advice

Application was sent: January 8, 2016
Application was approved: February 11, 2016
NOC 2232 mechanical engineering technologists and technicians

I don't know what kind of questions my employer was asked. The only thing I know is that they requested more detailed info on job postings and received resumes.

Everyone who is still waiting, good luck)

LMIA Interview-positive- done.

Dear Friends.
I would like to share my time line.
*13 Oct 2015 LMIA filed.
*Dual intend / Ontario-medium wage.
*December file transferred to NB.
*Week 18" Interview happened-Yesterday Morning.
My employer says it's positive interview.
Case officer also mentioned 'Good application'.
*Waiting for official letter-snail mail in next 10 days-to proceed next step.

I tried old CEC 2014 by my self, messed up, and rejected May 2015.
I thanks God for this rejection.
Because thousands of 2014 candidates stocked in the middle of progress.
Of course, rejection was painful but it makes me to start new progress.
My company found a good Lawyer and made it through.

Once when I get the LMIA letter could I cross the border and get work permit?

I hope all the best for you guys.

Thanks.

As far as I know once you have an approved LMIA, you need to apply for a work permit.
I'm new here, so I'm not allowed to post links. But you can easily google that
Just when you get your working visa you'll be able to travel to canada.

Folks.

My lawyer received official LMIA letter today.

NOC:5255
Ontario Medium wage.
13-Oct-15:Dual intend filed.
17-Feb-16:Employer interviewed by SC. 17" week since filed
26-Feb-16:LMIA approved. 18" week since filed

Next step will be draw for EE.

Hope you all the best.
