LMIA for CEC

Hi. Please help. I have an approved Lmia and eligible for CEC. Currently I am on my visitor record with an approved Lmia and haven’t applied for the workpermit yet. If I get an invitation in next draw, do I need to have or applied for a workpermit?

So if you don’t want to (or need to) work until PR and your LMIA is not expiring then don’t apply for a closed work permit. When does LMIA expire?

LMIA hs validity till September-20 - 2025. I am confused with my current visitor record, with a positive lmia and if I get invitation in CEC, does a workpermit is required while I file for my pr. I have good points and almost a year left to expire my LMIA

If PR supporting then employer didn’t pay the $1k so you cannot apply for a work permit anyways.

We are not professionals. If you want professional help then talk to your lawyer since you are paying for the services. So you have applied for PR (thought you have been waiting for invitation). Anyways since you applied for PR then wait for approval. You cannot work until PR.

Thank you very much @Naturgrl for the advice. I really appreciate it that. Hopefully I ll make it. Just wanna confirm a valid workpermit under my pr supporting LMIA is not required to file my PR. If I am right!
