So if you don’t want to (or need to) work until PR and your LMIA is not expiring then don’t apply for a closed work permit. When does LMIA expire?My workpermit pgwp expired on april 7th this year then now on visitor record with an approved lmia
What kind of LMIA did your employer obtain?LMIA hs validity till September-20 - 2025. I am confused with my current visitor record, with a positive lmia and if I get invitation in CEC, does a workpermit is required while I file for my pr. I have good points and almost a year left to expire my LMIA
If PR supporting then employer didn’t pay the $1k so you cannot apply for a work permit anyways.It is a PR supporting LMIA
Employer did pay 1k behalf of me when I applied for the PR. My lawyer is kinda non responsive too. That is why I badly wanted a help from here. Can you please do an email for me ( if its possible) I believe you know the right ways to deal with it. amrharshal1@gmail.com
We are not professionals. If you want professional help then talk to your lawyer since you are paying for the services. So you have applied for PR (thought you have been waiting for invitation). So apply once you get invitation and hopefully you are approved. You cannot work until PR.No. I am waiting for the invitation hopefully . I just met good enough points (527).
