Hello everyone, I hope all of you are doing well in this harsh time. I'd like to ask about the LMIA. I currently work at a tech firm. My company has got LMIA for 3 colleagues before me. If I ask them to get another LMIA for me, will it be positive LMIA? Thanks all

It's difficult to say due to COVID and the related job losses. It make be more difficult to get an approved LMIA now. However if your company has been successful previously, this is positive. They can certainly try.

Hi scylla, thanks for your reply. I've been consulted that if the company has previously got LMIA for more than 3 people. There would be a chance that I cannot get a positive LMIA for any points. Idk if it's true

I am in high wage. All of employees are programmers and high wage.

There is a 10% cap for low wage (i.e. 10% of employees can be under an LMIA). I don't think it applies to high wage but I don't know that for certain.

For a grocery store, what type of noc code will more likely to get approved, would Marketing Manager work or Retail Sales Supervisor. My boss asked me and he is filling out the LMIA application for me. Please let me know.

The NOC needs to matcht the job you are actually going to do.
