I have been approved and received an LMIA & CAQ in Quebec. Now it seems that I need to apply for my work permit through Express Entry on the CIC website. My employer applied for this LMIA and paid the $1000 fee. I have been working for him for 2 years on an IEC work permit that is valid until July 2017.

If I wanted to apply for PR what would be the next step? My job is classified as a NOC skill type A. The whole process seems confusing. I would really appreciate if anyone could help clarify it.

Thanks!

If your job is in Quebec, you should look into the Quebec Skilled Worker Immigration Program (separate from Federal Worker Express Entry). I would recommend you join the Provincial Nomination section of this forum.

Since your LMIA is for a job in Quebec, this won't get you any points under the Federal system.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I think that requires advanced French doesn't it? My job doesn't require French and I know very little at this point. I may or may not stay in Quebec long term. Are you saying workers in Quebec don't qualify for Express Entry? On the CiC website the only way I can apply for my permit is with the Express Entry button.

Applying for the Quebec program does not require knowledge of French. I would recommend you join the Quebec Skilled Worker section of the forum.
