LMIA application processing time?

I havent worked for almost 2 months.

I just want an answer so i can unpause my life and figure out the next step.

I exactly know how it feels bro. I am not working since Sept 25. Have to restore the status by 23 Dec. Do you think Express entry could or should be a 2nd chance?

Not sure, i am not eligible for that anyways.

I am 2 weeks shy of 1 year of skilled experience under CEC.

Two weeks shy? Are u serious? Man what has Service Canada done to us. And do you mean your profession is not eligible for express entry?

My profession is eligible, as i am noc 0 but if i dont get the lmia i wont be able to apply as i wont have a years worth of skilled work but i havent looked into it in depth yet.

I guess years work is not required for the Express entry, as per the information i have from this

I'll not hold my breath on that until January though to be honest, which will probably get delayed and their website will crash and not work for months...

I've lost all faith in service Canada and cic and the lot of it.

I have recently had a consultant take care of my app process last week on the 20th. I am applying outside the country into BC, my occupation falls shy of the top 10% by a little bit for the province. Assuming it will be the same 8-12 wks from what i see??. Has anyone on here heard of turn around times for BC LMIA's??

With the changes put in place you'd think the turn around be quicker due to the higher fees & less employers searching for foreign workers?

I have come across a lot for Alberta. Im seeing some lucky people getting them within 2 weeks?! eyyyyyy?

I'm on 19th week of waiting, BC, NOC 2173, top 10% wage (so I'm eligible for 10-days processing, but lawyer said that it's up to ESDC to decide if expedited processing is applicable). Hope to get some news soon.

19th?? Why does it take so long? When was the employment taken and when did you get file number? Did they request for additional documents or to modify the existing ones?

Got file number at the end of September, don't know much details

LMIA App (finally accepted on October 10, or at least not sent back (after 4 times previously, dating back to late June)
Not sure when the payment was accepted, but do have a file number.
SC contacted employer last Monday (10/20) with further questions.
Waiting. Hoping for soon? Who knows? Will keep you posted.

Will the LMIA come in the snail mail? My previous LMO did. Seems ridiculous to offer 3 modes of correspondance - 1. email. 2. mail. 3. Fax. Oh well.
