what is difference between DUAL LMIA and REGULAR LMIA.

Hello, Just to be nice to anyone else who wait for LMIA, I will post my timeline. I have been silently watching as I waited for mine.

NOC: 2174 (Software Engineer with Project Management, 10 day processing)
Job posted: June X(not sure when)
Applied: 8 Sept 2016
File #: 13 Sept 2016
Got request for additional docs 3 or 4 times. Mostly transition plans as well as advertising requirements
Approval: Oct 26, 2016

These days they reject very few IF you are in a professional career. So don't lose hope I know its a very very frustrating process but there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Hope everyone waiting gets their LMIA this week!

What are common reasons you see that they reject?

Hi Oz traveller my duel LMIA has been in since the 18th July and I have a job offer of 30 dollars and hour as a machinist . Employer says they are nearly done with mine so I'm in my 14th week of waiting . Be prepared to wait 4 months this is common for this at the moment.

LMIA processing time will take up 3 months to 6 months. There are few people who got lmia after 8 - 12 months as well. If your job advertising, prevailing wage are satisfied then lmia can be released within 6 months. If your company has previously got positive lmia then the processing time can be less than 3 months. Sometimes office visit and phone interview will be there.

Question is : interview by tel is a regular for all applicant or the choice by NOC code or ....?

ONCE YOU GET THE LMIA LETTER, YOU HAVE TO APPLY WITH CIC FOR VISA.
CIC PROCESSING TIME VARIES DEPENDING ON WHICH COUNTRY YOU APPLY FROM.

I am waiting for LMIA from service canada toronto.
My NOC is 2147
I found that prevailing wage for this is NOC is Median Wage 38.46 $/hr at toronto
My employer is offering me 33.50 $/hr and full time / indeterminate position
My employer has got call from service canada and processing fee has been taken
Till now no update
will the prevailing wage can be a issue.
when i spoke to my lawyer, he is saying wage above 30 $/hr will be approved by esdc
is this true ?

As per my experience, you cannot assume on the basis of wage .they consider alot of things like employer previous approvals/rejects income n all.....
