Need help for a friend. She came to Canada through the live in caregiver program, She worked at the place for 3 months and then they let her go due to their financial situation. She has not been able to find work yet is very worried. What does she need to do and where can she go for help. Thanks for any advise.

she just have to look for another employer, there's a lot of agency that is based here in canada, or just look up in the internet or newspaper for hiring, and if ever she finds one, she has to go through the same process of getting a work permit. she don't have to worry too much, as long as she have a plcae to stay and enough money to feed herself until her work permit arrives.

I think she might need a service from the agency because now caregivers don't have to pay fee to the agents my friend she lost her job and she called them she told them what happened to her and she need a job so she went to the agency for interview and paid 20 dallas for something a week after she was sent to interview a lot of families then she got a job and new work permit.

Where does your friend live? Maybe she can search on google by type the name of the city + live in caregiver + agency for key words

good luck

20 dollars a week? Agency that are already here, should be free of charge, cause it will be the prospect employers who will be paying for the charges and fees.

Where is your friend now? You can try the Niagara Caregivers and Personnel in Hamilton, Ontario. They do not require fees for finding you a caregiver job if you're in Canada. Their number is 905 523 4241.

I know somebody in Mississauga, but I don't know if they charge the LCP cause she is already in Canada. I can give you their contact numbers. Maybe she can give them a call.

I didn't get your question very well, but If you get your PR this September you are free to do whatever you want, find another job, study, apply for EI, etc. I think your baby will be Canadian, but not sure. and you must let immigration know about your pregnancy. good luck!.
