Hi guys!

just want to share my timeline:

Sent application for PR/Open work permit: February 2011
CIC vegreville received: February 8, 2011
CIC started processing: February 18, 2011
Received open work permit: December 11, 2011
Married, my husband is under the LCP (in canada) with 2 kids in the Philippines as dependants.

no update yet as of today February 28, 2013.

Let's hope for the best...cheers to all 2013 applicants!

where did you renew your visa? i happen to be in the same situation my visa and work permit r expiring. if you could point me in the right direction.

It's not the visa that I am applying for.It was the extension of my working permit. The processing office is at Vegrevielle Alberta.I did not apply for the restoration after they(CIC) refused to extend it.Instead, I sent them a letter(March 3) to reopen it( followed an advised of a top Immigration Officer from Ottawa whom a friend of my friend).I am crissing my fingers now that they will consider it since I am very sure that it was their fault why they didn't locate my passport in their website. I will guve them 2 weeks to reply, if I wont be hearing anything from them, I will apply for a restoration .I dont know if how does ir complicate with my Permanent Resident application though.I am an April 2011 applicant, basing on the timeline, CIC will be on the next step of my application???Or maybe not because I don't have status here in Canada????
