Hi guys! I just recently joined this forum but been following all the developments of every timeline. I believe this is the right thread for us since CIC received our PR application May 3, 2011 and started processing May 16. My husband is the principal applicant and I'm still waiting for my LC2 kit.

Is there any update/news for May 2011 applicants? Hoping to hear from you guys! Thank you..

Hi, she is married, but anyway cic is working on applications which were received in January 2011 from both applicants married and single.

i sent my PR in may 2011 and received owp in dec 2011. my visa and work permit expires april 2014. what happens if i still dont have my PR at that time. Anyone has similar experience or suggestions? ;D

Hello is der any news for April 2011 applicant? My time line is Submit PR/OWP April 2011... got OWP DEC 2011. After der is no more updates on my Ecas and my husband is my LC2 but he also not get any msg and no any LC2 Kit yet. If you have any new updates plz let me know god bless 2 all care givers ....

AIP approved in principle - you received the first stage approval.
If you are the live in caregiver in Canada you're the principal applicant or LC1, if you have family to sponsor from your home country they are your dependants or LC2.

Hi Guys.Just wondering if any of you had applied for extension of an open work permit.I'm an April 2011 applicant and got my OWP on Dec 2011.I was only given an OWP til 21st of feb 2013 due to expiration of my passport.But I already had my passport renewed and applied for tye extension of my OWP.I was refused for the reason that I didn't provided a valid travel document ,which is rediculous coz I had it submitted and they recieved it online. Now they (CIC) is asking me for the restoration of my status.Which is ludacris coz they dated the refusal of my application on 21st of Feb 2013 but just sent it yesterday on my email.I am really in rgeat distressed and I can't sleep thinkng on what should I do tomorrow..1.Call the CIC,2.Get a lawyer3. walk in the Immigration 4. Just let them get my $350 fir not a valid reason...I hope that everything will be fine for all of us ...

Did you apply online? Did you attached the copy of your newly issued passport? Same scenario with my friend too good thing she still have enough time for another renewal. She thought it was uploaded online but it wasn't. You can check on your MYCIC account. She applied on paper application on the 2nd try and it was approved.

Question: I just renewed my passport because my owp will expire on July. When should I renew my owp? Am i allowed to renew it as soon as I received my new passport?
