hi everyone, been trying to call cic for some questions about my WP. You might have some answers for me. Sent my OWP and PR application oct. 29, received nov.4, in process nov.7
My WP will expire Sept 2012, as well as my passport, OHIP and SIN. I am also planning to get a new employer. Im only paid 1/4 of what regular nannies get every month. But im worried about my WP.It would take i guess 5-6 months for a new work permit to come out right? So if i get a new employer this would mean i will be paid cash while waiting for my new WP. This is where the problem sets in. My current employer doesnt want this kind of set up that id be paid cash by another employer when they still appear to be my employers in my WP. Im messed up i dont even know what to ask. but ill ask anyway.
1.How soon should i extend my WP if i decide to stay with my current employer until my OWP comes out? is two months before expiration ok?
2. Should i renew passport first before sending extension application of my WP?
3.If i start working for a new employer and my WP has expired and the new WP hasnt come out yet, am i safe coz that would mean i dont have a status?
4. I thought of going home to the Philippines DEc 2012. IS this possible? When they said once application is in process we cant leave the country anymore or we might be denied entry when we come back?

i'm sooooo happy about this because i still have to submit my OWP/PR apps this month.....hoping and praying this is really true
