i am with you bambiegirl,,,we don't need to be stress up..lets think positive and forward. This time of processing is not really a permanent, it will change sometimes, and i am hoping and praying that our PR status will come soon ahead of time...be happy and enjoy your work as it is. KUDOS

i'm not happy about the processing, it doesn't move at all..gush! how i wish cic will open their hearts to the live-in caregivers. I miss my family back home. :'(

We all do lyne. I miss my daughter...another year of waiting and maybe longer...it really sucks. How can we make our voices louder so it can reach the people concerned.

Hi! What is now the processing time to get an OWP? It's just this takes too long. Btw, once I have my OWP, can I take a vacation from my home country even without my PR? Haven't been home for almost 3 years now. I miss my child.

The processing as of may 25, 2011 update, it's 13 to 14 months,. You can have your vacation anytime after you work with an employer for a year ( after 1 year of work) . We are qualified for a 2 weeks vacation leave every year of our contract. Just be sure you have a multiple entry visa, if you have only a single entry, you can apply for multiple entry visa in buffalo or seattle canadian embassy.Just check in the web on how to apply for a multiple visa. You don't have to apply personally you just have to mail your passport to the embassy...KUDOS ;D

My employer's sister is a reporter at the CBC, for radio and TV, maybe I can bring the letter to her next time I see her...let me know how to connect.

Guys,

I'm going to CBC on Monday to drop off our letter, can you name at least one reporter who we can address our letter to? And if you have last minute changes with the letter, message it to me on Sunday afternoon coz I'll have it ready at night.

May I suggest one more thing, Atty. Moyal is a well known Lawyer here in Toronto. My mom always consulted him for legal matters...his consultation I think is $150. Maybe all LC in Toronto, we can meet, share for his consultation and make an appointment with him. Let's just ask about what he thinks about our letter, who's the best person to deal with, what would be the pros and cons...etc

Thank you for the info, Kablas99. I hope and pray na ma-approve at dumating na soon ang hinihintay nating papers. Waiting this long is really an emotional nerve wrecking stressful experience. But what can we do? We all just have to wait. haaaay... God Bless US.

@ rosellyalung- Yeah, we are all patiently waiting for the results of our application. Feels like they are really prolonging our agony. This is too much!! I really miss my child back home!!!
