This is unbelievable!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
How long is this torture going to last?! Are they ever going to move past March 21st? I am not an angry person but this situation makes me MAD!!! We gave up so much hoping for the better and now we are just stuck! Stressed, powerless and broken! I wish I had enough money to hire a good lawyer to sue CIC for damages!

hi madeira! i would like to ask, are u single?you applied ahead of me.I sent my application april 15 and they received it april 19, 2011.and they started processing june 30, 2010.Did u try to call the cic today?if u did, what did they say?

Hi sweetchad,
I am single, I've had the same employer for the past 3 years. No changes since the day I entered Canada. What about you?

I didn't call them today. I don't see the point.
Cause all they going to say that they don't see anything wrong with my file. I just need to wait. I called them 3 times. Last two they looked into my file for me. Once when my date was between 11-12 months, they told me to wait for 12 months and contact them if I don't hear anything from them. The other time when it was over 12 months I was told though they had exceeded 12 month processing time, right now they are working on application received up to March 21. And then 2 days later it went up to 12-13 months. And now there is along weekend coming up, so we are losing 2 working days. And then there will be summer... people on vacation :(

Has anyone called CIC lately? Maybe someone got lucky and got some answers? Why aren't they moving past that date?

Let us hope and pray that we will all have a smile on our faces tomorrow when we check the website!!!! :)

GUESS NOT!!!!!! >:( :'(

what's wrong with live-in caregiver program? It did not update for over 2months. No one cares about our rights, because we haven't qualification to vote. We are nothing for Canada. I am so disappointed. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

In my opinion. without us, there wouldn't be moms working, therefore, less tax payers, therefore less Canadian income. We also pay taxes right? We don't ask money on the streets. We like to work, we like to be helpful for the country and for the employers. I don't know why they treat us like that. It is disappointed. I agree.

i noticed that some of you has applications on process for 12 months now and still you have not receive your open work permit....

i'm so worried about my application because mine i submitted last October 2010, if i cant get my open visa before October 2011, what would happen to me because i am jobless now...

i don't know what plans they have for all of us under LCP who's papers is on process, they don't realize that we are not allowed to do part time work, or to do work with any employers without valid work permit...

are they doing this on purpose because there was a rumor before that they are planning to change the system that live-in caregivers will no longer eligible for PR...

well atleast, i hope that they would be merciful enough to give us open work permit in time so we can work, while waiting for the long process of getting residency status, because we have a family back home who are dependent on us...

this is so depressing and frustrating.... after more than 2 years of hardwork and being away from our love ones, hoping that after 3 years we can finally live with our love ones... and now suddenly that 3 years of waiting will become 5 years, its so unfair....

I don't even know what to think anymore. Has anyone tried to contact media? CTV? If yes, any replies? I think it is time we tried to contact them. If CIC making changes or something is up we have the right to know. Other categories keep being processed.
