ok i will send it to you sorry

Thanks, now I will add some more ideas to it. But look here, what I found out today. It looks like they are going to bring in some more changes into our program and they will come into effect next week - on April 1 (I wonder why they like make changes on this day - All Fools' Day. Do they consider us to be fools?

Highlights of the changes, which come into effect on April 1, 2011, include:
a more rigorous assessment of the genuineness of the job offer;
a two-year prohibition from hiring temporary foreign workers for employers who fail to meet their commitments to workers with respect to wages, working conditions and occupation; and
a limit on the length of time a temporary foreign worker may work in Canada before returning home.

The whole set of the "improvements" will appear in a week ::)

@oksy- yup you can edit the letter and add some more ideas, remember last year? it was April when they announced that there will be no medical for the pirmary applicant or the caregiver right? i hope they will make that improvements will be a favor for us! god bless us!

These to me are not improvement.They are not making any improvment on LIC, they are just making things harder.

Yes, it looks like they are making things harder for the employers, but in the end we are kicked for all those improvements

@oksy you want to send the letter to all the lic?> you can just send it through pm thanks and god bless

Hey, girls!
Who wants to read the letter and add up some more ideas to it, let me know and you will get a copy in your pm. Please, don't be indifferent. We are doing it for all of us.

Ako po... :)

ok that would be nice! did add up some ideas? can you pass it again to me? what we can do is we can print it out, mail it to each and everyone who would like to participate to sign up the leter and then send it to Minister Kenney, what do you think guys? we are just letting them know our concerns right guys?

I don't think that it is a good idea to send it to all girls here by ordinary post like a paper letter. There is an e-mail address on the cic website where you can send a letter to Minister Kenney. So, I think it's better to do it that way. I also think, that we should suggest some more changes to the program. Here are a few ideas:

1. The employers should be required to give pay slips or pay stubs to the live-in caregivers. This requirement has to be written somewhere - on the official website, in the contract or I don't know where else... Many of us don't get them and then it becomes a problem when the time to apply for the PR comes.
2. Some of us are not paid properly. The contract says that we are paid at hourly rate - like $10 an hour, 40 working hours per week. I know a few people that get the same pay every month - like 1200. How come? Some months have 21 and some have 22 working days. And these people have never had any problems with their taxes. Sounds strange.

What would be your ideas? What else should be mentioned?
