Live-in caregiver PR applicants for April,May and June timeline

Called the CIC call centre, they said they will open your file after 2.5 months receive the application. Now they opened the file received on Jan. 15
the ECAS might takes even longer to be checked.

Really? That's a good news! Thank you so much! My file was received on Jan 14, 2011. But I haven't got a call or a letter from CIC. I hope I can get some information this week. I check the processing time every week on CIC website. The speed is so slow and makes me crazy.

Is there someone who has the same timeline with me ? Let's be friends and we can encourage each other and share the information!

You could call CIC Call Centre to check if your file has been opened.

Honestly, I sent my application in June 2010 and still can not log into ECAS. I don't know when or how they are processing it but I can not get a live-in job since july, nobody wants to hire me because I am so close to getting my papers. I am really hoping that I'll get my OWP asap because it is VERY stressing to be almost a year without a job, health and sin cards, living at my boyfriends' place and do nothing the whole day except looking for jobs and checking ecas...

Hi, AgiHun... you should call the Call centre to check your file...at least you will know if it is in processing.
Hope you will received your OWP soon...
some employers don't ask for how long have you been under LCP.
like my employer... you could try to look for an employer. and the Health Card is really important...

The update for today is still 11-12 months processed up to 21th of March . if no change by next week , then the processing time will change to 12-13 months. This is heartbreaking !

They are not processing April Application yet . They might not even process April application for the rest of this month, I won't be surprise if the processing gets to 14 months. I'm just gonna take my mind of it n register for Adult day school. I will stop checking their website too, I'm just gonna wait till I see the letter in my box cos waiting for wensdays to see no updates is dishearten.

just drop a call to cic, the agent advised me officers are on their vacation, the most of waiting time for AIP is 12 months, next months is the twelve months for me since applied, so let's put more patient....

Can you imagine , they went on vacation and they couldn't get ppl to replace them , the system sucks and the ppl regulating the system . The whole processing time has really put a strain on my relationship and it is really killing me . While I was coming to Canada , this wasn't what I was told .

It has been Mar 21 for 4 weeks, since Feb 23 update...

How come only the officers processing LCP cases are on their vacation.
the other classes kept updating...

I hope they can do something about it...its so hard to be away with your family for so long. It would have been better if they prioritize LCP applicants and do something with the processing. 6-9mos is better than 11-12months! I hope they can read and see all our concerns and try to be in our situation.
