yes boyzone just like what cic call center agents always tells me when asking when can they recieve lc2 kit they always say after initial assessment /first stage approval thanks for asking it

@boyzone: im may applicant and my husband dont get an lc2 kit yet ...does it mean that the waiting time for us to get the pr will be much longer than those applicant whose family received first the lc2 kit?

To all Live-in caregivers (single applicants).... Just got my opw yesterday. Checked my ecas and says "DECISION MADE"... Hopefully the 2nd stage approval (PR interview) won't take that long.... I'm a September 27, 2010 applicant, started processing Nov. 17, 2010..... Total waiting time 14months.... Maybe Cic is processing October 2010 single applicants next week since mine is Sept. 27th. God bless and good luck to all of you.

just a quick question,how come i haven't received my OWP yet but my wife already did receive the AOR and LC2 letter.with her file number and UCI as uv said,LC2 kit will be requested once the visa officer will grant you 1st stage approval/owp, it means i already did granted the 1st stage approval coz my wife had her LC2 already but the problem is they trasnfer my application to CIC Vancouver... thanks

hi poknat, this could be case to case basis..because my dependent got the kit before i got my OWP...my dependent got the kit 7 months after i submitted my application at CIC....

on the other hand, does it matter if you tranfer a province does it affect the processing time too?because i was planning of moving to ontario if i can find job over there and i'm in vancouver island right now...

I have already corrected my previous posting about LC2 last August 2011 in this thread ,but i would like to tell you again what the visa officer from cic vegrivelle told me last friday night, that LC2 can only be requested by CIC Vegrivelle to your dependant abroad once you have been qualified ,approved or granted 1st stage approval or open work permit.
it is not true that you will wait longer time because your dependant did not received any lc2 kit yet, since you are a May 2010 applicant in most cases and based on her experienced as a visa officer at cic vegrivelle you have already been qualified for for 1st stage approval and that lc2 kit have been requested to your dependant abroad otherwise your application for owp had been returned to you after 45-90days after they started processing your application if they found out that your application is lack of merit for 1st stage approval.For the reason that your dependant did not received any lc2 kit til now, try to email the canadian embassy and inquire about the lc2 kit.
