I have the the guide book as well as regional office (I live in Japan so its Tokyo) requirements for complete application to CIO.
So far I understood,
1. I need to send original copies of Birth certificates ( My spouse and myself), original transcript in university sealed envelop, original marrige certificate ( Or notarized copies of original?), police certificate original, work experience certificate/s original, original IELTS score and prrof of funds.

2. Certified notarized copies of all diploma certificates (Pre and post secondary), copies of passport ( my spouse and myself).

Now folks am I missing somethign here? :'(

Will be glad if someone reply.

Thanks in advance.

If your high commission has asked for only photocopies then send just the photocopies. You do not need to send notarized copies unless they have asked so.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! There's a few more documents you need to send - take a look at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37041.pdf for the full list of documents for applications to be processed in the Japan Visa Office.

What about payslips? Business cards are not mandatory as long as your employers' details appeared on the experience letter. If you do not have the cntract letter mention ut on the covering letter. If you have finished employment you must have P45.Submit that as well.

You are quick. Thanks.
Well I worked as a research associate in university project before my PhD plus I did part time job as a research assitant during my PhD ( which I just finished)..Since I worked in University always so all they provided me is a work experience letter in departmental letter head pad mentioning my position, salary, responsibility etc etc..I dont know whats P45... :(

You're welcome.

Noticed the discussion on copies - suggest you check the overall instructions for FSW for the certified vs. regular photocopy question. It is quite clear that any translated document must have a certified copy of the original attached. I've noticed that several visa offices therefore leave that implicit in their checklist.

Regarding the employment certificates, I'd make sure that especially the one covering the NOC code you are using to qualify with has the maximum possible information (if you have no contract or business card available, perhaps the person writing the letter can mention that)

Where is your payslips? How have you got paid? Your payslips will prove that you performed paid job. Moreover, the number of hours will clarify if the job was full time/ part time.

the person signing the experience letter mentioning job responsibilities must have his detail so visa office can contact that person to ask about it.thats why they ask about business card. If the contact detail on the letter for the person signing it then its fine.
