HI, FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT LINK YOUR APPLICATIONS HERE IS THE WAY THAT HELPED ME:

Hi, i managed to link my paper application with the online account. Here is how i did it: PR->PNP->Use UCI and Application Number->Passport info->Since AB does not need IELTS so there is nowhere to input these info, skip->Choose the Province and City and type ONLY 1 people as applicant->Found the case of yours->Button to link. Then u can see the details of your application if u click the button.

It is possible tolink your application before aor my application received by CIC on the 12th of July and Ilinked it on the 20th.

My application received on 14th July and till date I am not able to link it. I do not enter given names in the imm0008 generic application form as I written all my names in family name section. But in mycic portal it's mandatory to enter both family name and given names and also cic instructs that your details should be accurately match when you entering details on my cic for linking your application. Finally I got confirmed that it is the system glitch that's why I am not able to link my application by using Family Name/Given Name and DOB. And once I get AOR then definitely I can able to link my application by using UCI and file number. Hope this helps all to understand the system glitch.

Update: My paper based application was received at CIO Sydney 11 Aug 2016 and I was successfully able to link it to mycic account today :D :D . The application number starts with XEP. I guess the X will be removed after AOR

A question for experienced members. Since I have my application linked to mycic account will I get my AOR through mycic or through email like everybody else gets?

But the catch is the app# starts with XEPand I can't really view the status of my app always showing - app unavailable please try again later

Can you still see your app in ecas? And nothing has changed since May? The file number still stars with xep?
